Athletic Background and Coaching Experience:

I started playing basketball at the age of four, playing all positions. I have coached for 10 years at various high schools. During the 2020 season, I trained college athletes. During the summer, I work for PGC (Point Guard College) and Breakthrough Basketball, teaching athletes fundamentals and how to overcome adversity. 

 What is your Coaching Philosophy/Style:

My coaching philosophy is player-centered development. I believe in developing athletes as the whole person. Whether developing fundamentals or overcoming adversity, athletics teaches various life lessons. My coaching style depends on the situation. My style is mostly cooperation because I will ask athletes and staff their thoughts on the program. Other times, I will make executive decisions and take a commanding approach. 

 What experience as an athlete most informs/influences your coaching:

The experience as an athlete that influences my coaching is understanding your personnel. Knowing your personnel is essential for success.

 How do you balance the demand of winning on the court and improving off the court:

I balance the demand of winning by enjoying the moment and focusing on the process of winning. When you commit to the process, the process will commit to you. Seeking small growth over time will lead to more considerable growth.

 I improve off the court by working camps, attending webinars and clinics, and asking mentors for advice.

 If you had one piece of advice for young athletes, what would it be:

One piece of advice for athletes is to enjoy the moment. Time is the most precious thing we have.

 CPA History:

I joined CPA in the fall of 2023 as an ESSA. I coached the boys JV basketball team that year as well.

 Fun Facts:

1. I've worked with NBA/WNBA trainers and professional athletes through PGC. 
2. I enjoy golfing with family and friends.
3. As an athlete, I attended Lute Olson's (Hall of Fame, Former University of Arizona men's basketball coach) and Steve Kerr's (current Golden State Warriors coach, 9X NBA Champion) basketball camps.
