"These four have been the most consistent players on our team," Coach Davis said about her all-conference players. "They work so hard in practice, watching film, and in the weight room. That type of dedication pays off. I am thankful they were honored."

Evi Yates Named Beach Volleyball 1st Team NAIA All-American
1 month ago
Annika Booker and Evi Yates have been named NAIA First Team All-Americans in beach volleyball.
It is the first time in school history that a pair has earned the distinction.
Booker and Yates, both of whom are juniors, were the No. 1 pair for the Sandy Stangs all season long. Their 13-8 record was the best among all of the team's pairs, helping The Master's rank as the No. 9 team in the country.
"Obviously I'm very excited for them," said TMU Beach Volleyball Coach Annett Davis. "They had to overcome some things within their own pair in order to make that happen. I'm proud of them for the work that God has done in them individually. The teamwork we saw exhibited, how they communicated with each other, was all a testament to God's work in them which helped them to win as much as they did."
Together as a team for the last two years, Booker and Yates were an example to the other players on the team.
"They are both hard workers, they are both individuals who are going to give their all," Davis said. "But they had to figure out a way to be a better team this year, [to be] unified, and I think they were. They encouraged each other, they had to work through adversity, how to not just play to not lose but to play to win. And they learned how to call one another out, to say, 'I'm going to encourage you to play better.' They learned how to do that well. They did well last year, but it was a night and day difference who they were this year, which was cool to watch."
