CoEd Middle School Tennis

Athletic Background:

I played junior tennis in AZ and earned an athletic scholarship to play tennis for Washington State University. Concurrently, I taught/coached at the Stanford summer camps under Dick Gould. I have run programs over the years in AZ before beginning to coach for CPA. I am entering my 3rd year of coaching the Middle School team. 

Coaching Style:

My coaching philosophy is first to instill a love of tennis in my students. I want my athletes to want to come to practice and compete. We have fun, learn the game, and work on our fitness levels. I meet student-athletes where they are at their level, whether they are raw beginners or seasoned players. I believe athletics is a great place to learn about life and become well-rounded. I want my athletes to know failing, losing, and having a bad day is ok. I teach them what to do on those days, how to get back up and try again. 

CPA History:

Our twins played volleyball for CPA in high school while homeschooling. I currently have a 6th Grade daughter, Sophia, and a 1st Grade daughter Adele attending CPA/Archway. 

Fun Facts:

Three fun facts about me: Married with nine children, Grandma, and an Arizona Certified K-8 teacher teaching 4th Grade for Great Hearts Online AZ.
